I tried several versions of both, and those two were the easiest for me to set up. I ended up installing two docker images: first, the linuxserver/calibre as the main server, and then the linuxserver/calibre-web as the web UI. I decided against using the HD version because I don't want to have to be at home every time I want to use Calibre, and because the HDS vnc is so unreliable as to be pretty much useless. There are still a couple of things I need to figure out (would be great if someone replies with instructions clear enough for a newb): adding ssl to docker ports, and granting the right privileges for the dockeruser ID I created.
This is another note to self for future reference (as I'm losing my mind in my old age), and maybe someone else will find it helpful, since I've seen a few other threads about people struggling to install it.
